Whistle Blowers Voices

I am Aquarion D.

Yarbrough Senior from Family Ova Everything Inc. Growing up in a small community near a military base presented a unique set of circumstances. Faced with the choice between joining the military or attending college, I chose to chart my own course in the car business. Initially, my passion lay in healthcare due to my strong desire to help others. By the age of 16, I was working as a CNA in the rehab unit at our local hospital. At 17, inspired by my mother’s experiences during the Afghan war, I decided to work at the local VA to support veterans and ensure they could live comfortably in their later years.

By the age of 21, I had acquired my first set of real estate properties and expanded to multiple properties by the age of 25. The tragic loss of my brother to gun violence on October 20, 2012, deeply impacted me and inspired me to actively address issues related to gun violence, gang violence, and local corruption. From 2012 to 2021, I worked in the dealership business, earning “Salesman of the Year” twice and advancing to a managerial position within my second year. During this time, I also pursued education through classes and seminars in banking, real estate (both multi-family and residential), philanthropy, insurance, entertainment, and content creation. Leveraging this diverse experience, my family and I decided to capitalize on the unique strengths of our family.

Whistle Blower Voices

I have collaborated with Ms. Matina Davis of Whistle Blowers Voices to address and highlight the injustices occurring in Lawton. This partnership began when a friend directed me to Ms. Davis, who was advocating against excessively high water bills affecting local residents. During our advocacy efforts, which included my daughter and other local advocates, we encountered a challenging situation involving a city councilwoman. Ms. Davis was contemplating whether to file a statement due to previous harassment by this councilwoman, and after discussion, we collectively supported her decision to proceed with the filing.
Shortly after making her statement, Ms. Matina Davis was charged with filing a false police report. Unsure of the reasons behind these charges, I became a witness as my daughter and I were present during the incident. Before the first court date concluded, Matina’s lawyer, Todd Adler, informed me and others that Alan Rosenbaum, the city prosecutor, was “not a fan of the Aquarion guy.” Upon recognizing Rosenbaum, I recalled that he had previously falsely accused me of assault and battery on two occasions, both of which resulted in my exoneration. Although I had only encountered him in the courtroom, I had never seen him outside of it. Consequently, I felt a civic duty to ensure the integrity of the situation and ensure proper dialogue was maintained while advocating for Matina’s innocence. Over time, Ms. Matina and I have developed a strong friendship through our shared advocacy efforts.
